5 Days – 4 Nights Itinerary
Day 1: Castellammare del Golfo
Arrival at Trapani or Palermo airport and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely walk through the historic heart of Castellammare del Golfo, with its charming alleys, scenic views, and timeless atmosphere. Conclude the day with a welcome dinner featuring local specialties. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Segesta, Erice, and Trapani
After breakfast, departure for Segesta, the ancient Elymian city on Mount Barbaro. Visit the archaeological park, including the perfectly preserved Doric Temple and the scenic Amphitheater.
Continue to Erice, a medieval village with a magical atmosphere. Stroll through its cobblestone streets and savor the famous almond pastries.
In the afternoon, visit the historic center of Trapani, known for its Baroque churches and the renowned Procession of the Mysteries: 20 wooden statues depicting the Passion of Christ are carried through the streets for 20 hours by the "massari," accompanied by solemn music.
Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 3: Palermo – Monreale
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Palermo. A guided walking tour will take you through the city's most important landmarks: the Cathedral, housing the tombs of Frederick II and his family, the chapel of Saint Rosalia, and the tomb of Blessed Father Pino Puglisi, a symbol of courage and faith against the mafia.
Continue through the Quattro Canti, the lively Ballarò market, Piazza Pretoria, and the splendid Martorana Church.
Lunch at a traditional eatery to enjoy Palermo’s famous street food.
In the afternoon, transfer to Monreale to visit the iconic Cathedral. Its extraordinary Byzantine mosaics depict stories from the Old and New Testaments, dominated by the central figure of Christ Pantocrator.
Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 4: Piana degli Albanesi
Breakfast at the hotel. Easter Sunday will be dedicated to visiting Piana degli Albanesi, a mountain village that preserves the traditions of the Arbereshe community. Witness the Greek-Byzan
Don't miss tasting the famous cannoli, a symbol of Sicilian pastry, made with fresh ricotta.
Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 5: Scopello
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and transfer to Scopello. Visit the historic Tonnara, a symbol of Sicily’s maritime traditions, with the opportunity for a swim in the crystal-clear waters. Explore the picturesque village with its charming Sicilian courtyard and conclude the experience by tasting the typical pane cunzatu.
Before transferring to Trapani or Palermo airport, enjoy some free time for a final stroll.
