A tour through classic Sicily, but seen through the eyes of those who live there: the alleys, the food, the good company, the history, the salt and the sun.

1st day -  Catania

Arrival at Catania airport, transfer to the hotel and accommodation in the booked rooms. Walk in the historic center of the city.

2nd day –  Etna (trekking e wine)

Morning dedicated to an easy trekking route: walking among centuries-old woods, craters and lava formations, our naturalistic guide will explain the fascinating volcanic phenomena. We will visit a winery and its vineyard, for a guided tasting of 3 DOC Etna wines in paired with typical products (cheeses, cured meats, products in oil and fresh bread). In the afternoon a delicious tasting of honey, typical production of Zafferana Etnea.

3rd day -  Noto e Marzamemi

Noto, a grandiose example of Sicilian Baroque. In the elegant main street, among magnificent noble palaces and scenic squares, the splendid Cathedral of San Nicolò stands out. Lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon walk to Marzamemi, a characteristic fishing village on the Ionian Sea. The processing of tuna, whose origins date back to the Arab period, at one of the most important tuna fisheries in Sicily, for an experience not to be forgotten.

4th day - Siracusa

We will start from the archaeological park; the heart of Syracuse beats here, between the Amphitheater, the Roman theater, the Altar of Hieron. We will continue to visit ancient Ortigia, the island that constitutes the first nucleus of the city: the alleys full of small typical shops, the Cathedral built on the remains of an ancient Greek temple dedicated to Athena, the legendary Fonte Aretusa.In the afternoon departure for Agrigento, accommodation in the booked rooms.

5th day - Agrigento e Scala dei Turchi

Visit to the Valley of the Temples: "the most beautiful city of mortals". Its imposing temples are unique in the world because they are made not in the usual marble, but in sandstone tuff, made up of very minute fragments of shells. We will continue to the splendid Scala dei Turchi for a walk and a swim in its crystalline waters. Lunch in a typical restaurant. Transfer to Castellammare del Golfo, accommodation in the booked rooms.

6th day - Segesta, Saline di Trapani ed Erice

Segesta, the ancient city of Elima which stands on Monte Barbaro. Guided tour of the archaeological park with the majestic Doric Temple and the Amphitheatre. Transfer to Trapani for a guided tour of the Nubia Saline and the Salt Museum, located inside a restored windmill. Typical lunch inside the Salina. In the afternoon we will continue to Erice, a sacred city for at least five civilizations: Sicanians, Elymians, Carthaginians, Greeks and Romans. Walk through the streets of the characteristic medieval village and tasting of Erice's typical sweets.

 7th day - Palermo e Monreale

 The Arab-Norman route is among the most interesting routes in the city: a circular route from the Cathedral, which houses the tombs of Frederick II and the Kings of Sicily, to the Arab Market of Ballarò, narrow streets full of merchandise, with its thousand colors and perfumes, a mix of languages ​​and peoples, with stops to taste street food. In the afternoon walk to Monreale. In the majestic Cathedral the centrality of Christ Pantocrator "He who contains everything" with the very valuable gold mosaics.
