The drama of Greek man: a unique experience, in the splendid setting of the ancient theater of Syracuse where the cycle of Classical Performances takes place annually.

Program

 1st day: Syracuse

Arrival at Catania airport and transfer to Syracuse. Visit to the ancient island of Ortigia, the original nucleus of the city dominated by the Cathedral built on the still visible remains of the Greek temple dedicated to Athena. We will then attend the scheduled classical performance.

2nd day:  Vendicari Oasis – Noto – Syracuse

Excursion to the oriented naturalistic oasis of Vendicari: a coastal wetland area with a long beach and a resting place for migratory birds. We continue with a visit to Noto which represents the grandest example of Sicilian Baroque, with its scenic squares and the splendid Cathedral.Return to Syracuse to attend the show at the Ancient Theater.

3rd day:  Syracuse 

Visit to the archaeological park of Neapolis, or the "new city" and the Regional Archaeological Museum "Paolo Orsi". We continue with a visit to the Catacombs of San Giovanni built following the layout of a previous Greek aqueduct.
Transfer to Catania airport.
