A journey in the footsteps of Father Pino Puglisi.  The disciple of Christ is a witness. Christian testimony encounters difficulties and can become martyrdom. The step is short, indeed it is precisely the martyrdom that gives value to the testimony" Padre Pino Puglisi

1st day -  Palermo

Gathering of participants and departure from the designated airport of Palermo. Meeting with our guide and accommodation on the coach.

After breakfast, transfer to Palermo: the route starts from the Cathedral, a place even more dear to the city today because it houses the remains of the Blessed Father Pino Puglisi. Among the streets of the center, stroll through the popular alleys of the Arab market of Ballarò. Lunch in a typical restaurant to learn about Palermo street cuisine. Visit to the Oratory of Santa Cita. In the evening at the hotel, we will meet a witness who will tell us about his personal experience of friendship with Don Pino and we will listen to some songs taken from a theatrical work that translates the martyrdom of Father Pino Puglisi into verse.

2 day– Godrano-Monreale

After breakfast, the day will begin from Godrano, the mountain village in the Palermo hinterland, where Father Puglisi was parish priest for eight years, leaving an indelible mark on the small community. We will continue in the Alto Belice Corleonese where we will visit an agritourism company built on land confiscated from the mafia and managed by the Libera Terra Cooperative. Lunch at the farmhouse.

In the afternoon we will conclude with the Cathedral of Monreale: the centrality of Christ Pantocrator, "He who contains everything", its very valuable mosaics depict, in 130 panels, scenes from the Old and New Testaments.

Transfer to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

3 day– Segesta-Trapani-Erice

After breakfast, visit the Archaeological Park of Segesta: the religious sense as a constant desire to see the face of God becomes a simple and fascinating task among the stones of the classical world. Guided tour of the ancient city of Elyma with the majestic Temple and the Amphitheater: a city and its Madonna, it was 1291 when the simulacrum of the Madonna arrived at the Port of Trapani and taken into jealous custody by the Carmelite Fathers.

Lunch in a typical restaurant inside the Saline.

Transfer to Erice, a mythological and sacred city for the Sicanians, Elymians, Carthaginians, Greeks and Romans. Walking through the streets of the medieval village we will admire the thirteenth-century Cathedral and the Castle of Venus.

4th day - Palermo

We will conclude our journey with a visit to the places where Don Pino Puglisi lived the last years of his life in the Brancaccio district: the Parish and the place of Martyrdom, Piazzale Anita Garibaldi.
